Ad says he is just south of Traverse City, maybe a Yooper that moved south? This is too crazy for anyone in the lower peninsula.

Not bad. Personally, I'd rather it be a Kenworth K-100, but that's just me.

10/10 would buy if I can find pictures of the truck he's selling. If it's got history, then it's worth saving.

Jet powered semi ... that seems pretty self explanatory.

The real question is what kind of shape the jet engine is in. Rebuilds are very expensive for those.

It may be an early prototype for the Jet Turbine powered semi trucks that never really kicked off. This one looks like it would probably have melted the whole trailer. Not so good for the driver. Or anyone behind him.
/humor
In all seriousness though, back in the 70's, Mack had experimented with running true jet turbine powered semi trucks. The exhaust was so hot, it would melt the paint right off any bridges it passed under. I got a chance to sit in one of the prototypes, and read the odometer. I think it was around 72k miles. But that slight bridge melting problem prevented the trucks from having any success.

Did some quick digging, it looks to be a Segal Motorsports creation that ran in the late 80's and early 90's. They appear to have been building jet cars as late as the mid 2000's. The turbine is supposed to be a J-34, the same seen on the more well known Shockwave Jet Truck.
So far that's all I could find on it.
